Liwa Mask, also called Sandalwood mask, is an Ayurvedic powder that is popular among the Kenyan coastal communities, Indians, and Somali communities. It’s used as part of a facial routine as a mask. It also works perfectly in acne management.
One can use the powder as a DIY facial mask where you mix the powder with water to make a paste. (just make enough for one-time use. 1 teaspoon powder is enough). Apply the paste on a clean moist face, wait for 15 minutes then rinse off the mask. Afterward, apply a face toner then your preferred moisturizer.
